Gear, Training Aids, & Accessories
Our Target has a unique layout designed with a purpose. Our Rifle / Pistol target offers wide variety of drills due to being purpose driven. See our “shooter drills” for some examples. We have drills for every level of experience. We’ll be add more as the days go by, stay tuned!
Our target dimensions are 24” x 36”. The 4 Circles are equivalent to the outer edges of an ipsc targets (see shooter drills for overlay comparison).
The 4 center squares in the center of the target serve a dual purpose… honing pistol fundamentals as well as a 5” x 5” zeroing area for your rifle. Each square measuring 2” with a 1” space then another 2” square. The center area of the 4 squares is exactly 1” x 1” so you can get a solid MOA grouping. As usual we recommend getting on paper before punching back to your desired zero firing line. If you stand about 10 yards away, and aim at the top of the chest box on the dotted line (centered of course) your point of impact should be just above the word “chest”. If not, make your adjustment to reflect this point of impact then punch back to your desired zeroing line to obtain a quicker zero.
The Tic Tac Toe (TTT) area also has a few purposes and I’m sure you can find or come up with more. If you do let us know so we can add them. Right now we use them for…
“Match”, as in you shoot a square then I shoot the same square (think of it as a game of horse.) See pictures above for example.
“Zero Confirmation” - once you have your rifle zero, we like to use the intersecting line of the TTT target zone to get a zero confirmation. If you need/want more target zones, use the outer points of the vertical and horizontal lines of the TTT.
“Dot Torcher” - you can use the typical dot torcher write up of you can come up with your own to use in our 9 square (times 2 targets) TTT.
The 4 circles we like to use a typical box drill or body armor drill, starting at circle 1, then moving around to circle 4. Amongst other types of drills.
The 4 outer squares we like to use as designated areas when you have multiple shooters shooting on each others target. That way you know where you are hitting on a target when multiple people are shooting at the same target. We have other drills designed that use the 4 squares on our shooter drills page, ck them out!
For Chest and Head target zones we love for those failure drills, however to increase the target area transition we like use the Gut and Head target zones for that drill, but you get the picture.
Last but not least we have the “HIP” target zone. This area seems to be a big hit in our classes with the ladies; not so much with the guys. Not sure why.
The overall layout, from 100 yards+, is perfect for going over window call outs. As in firing solutions for quick pop up targets (target zones). You can make it as easy or as challenging as you like.
Our target design goal is for the shooter to…
Shoot w a game plan
Have fun while doing it
Have more target zones to shoot
Not waste time repasting targets
Get the most out of becoming a better shooter
Pretty straight to the point. If you have tried moving your vehicle without buckling your seatbelt it's annoying loud. So if you do any of the below, then you absolutely need a Buckle Buddy.
hook up a trailer
drive down the range to switch out targets
on loading and off loading a jet ski
look down at the curb or driveway while backing up
drive on your own property
like securing your pets when traveling
If you’re going to invest in the gear, make sure you’re getting the most out of it. Make sure you remember and know how to use it. Our Sniper Essentials Sticker includes common target sizes and easy-to-use ranging formulas, a range card, a target card showcasing frequently encountered targets and their corresponding ranges once milled. It’s everything you need to stay dialed in and set yourself up for success. has a range card, formulas, size measurements for common target sizing aids and most importantly; an area for you write in your personal D.O.P.E. for your firearm.
—
The Sniper Essentials Sticker is sized for a nalgene water bottle, 11” wide and 6” tall to wrap perfectly around the bottle utilizing the most amount of space possible.
—
This concept has been in the works for about two years. Initially, we planned on releasing another water bottle, but with so many already out there in shooters’ hands, we decided a sticker would be the better route. Stay tuned—more long gun stickers and range essentials are on the way to make your time behind the gun smoother and more efficient.
—
On our Sniper Essentials Sticker you will see reticle details for the… Horus Vision(R) Tremor3(R)" the (R) being the registered trademark icon. Those details can also be found on their website. While you can cut and paste that information off their website and make your own sticker for free; we’ve done the work for you and added that info on our Sniper Essentials Sticker.
—
Most of the team members on the RCC Shooting Team use their reticle, as well as our teammates downrange. RCC likes being able to help get the information out there because the biggest complaint we hear about the reticle is that it’s too busy and it’s hard to remember how to use everything. The truth is, once you know how to use it properly, it has everything other reticles have to offer plus a lot more.

Shooting isn’t all that complicated; having the tools to make life easier goes a long way. Stay Safe
Make Life Easier- Learn various methods for our D.O.P.E. - Tube/Stock & D.O.P.E. / TRP - Scope Cap Stickers
-
Quality optics are a significant investment, and your scope caps should do more than just protect the glass. When used correctly, they become a simple but highly effective tool for organizing critical shooting data and improving efficiency behind the rifle.
-
Our team maintains baseline D.O.P.E. on rifle stocks/tubes and uses our scope cap stickers to record scenario, or competition-specific adjustments. Before an event, we study imagery, identify key terrain features, and develop Target Reference Points (TRPs) at various distances. This creates a quick-reference system tailored to the environment we’re about to engage in.
-
A useful method is to divide your D.O.P.E. by distance, target, or both. For example, holds from 150–600 yards can be recorded on the ocular lens cap, with 625–1,000 yards on the objective cap. If a significant TRP exists at 550 yards, annotate it accordingly. This provides immediate access to critical information without digging through a notebook or data card.
-
What is a TRP?
A Target Reference Point (TRP) is a predetermined, easily identifiable location used for target acquisition, fire control, and coordination. TRPs can be natural features such as hilltops or road intersections, or man-made features such as buildings, bridges, or designated positions.
-
Why use TRPs?
TRPs simplify communication and improve situational awareness. Instead of lengthy coordinates or detailed directions, shooters can reference a known point and immediately understand the location being discussed. This reduces confusion, speeds decision-making, and enhances effectiveness in dynamic environments.
-
The more efficiently you can organize and access your data, the more attention you can devote to the fundamentals of marksmanship and making accurate first-round hits.

We call it that because it’s the sling you’ll want in any modern day Apocalypse. The days of your sling being a purse strap are over. Let your tools help you shoot more easily and accurately. It’s common sense, if you got it, use it. Now you know how. Can you do the same thing we are demonstrating w some other slings… with certain slings you can do a few of the methods we teach but they are just cumbersome. Hence why we designed it the way we designed it. Below are a few of the options the Apoc Sling allows.
🔴.
Ease of Movement and Flow
Easily transition from “On-Shoulder”, to Punched Out, to “Retracted” or to High-Gun, for all possibly movement and mobility needs in a firefight.
Quickly throw your rifle over your shoulder, onto your back, and cinch it up tight for long hauls, scaling, or when you need to use of both hands without rifle concerns/distractions.
Quickly un-cinch your rifle to get back in the fight when needed.
⚫️.
Medical
Easily cinch it up to your body, to clear your rifle from injuring your patient and to allow for ease of movement. This will aid you in performing proper medical attention free of rifle concern/distractions. All while maintaining to ability to quickly get back into the fight.
🔴.
Door Frame / Post - Method
The 90° Angle of the buckle locks it in position.
Come in with your rifle at 45° and push the chord into the board and torque down on the sling.
We designed its length specifically to be able to hug the frame and allow you a tight shooting position.
Flat hand pressed into the board is all you need to hold it in place and torque.
⚫️.
Wrap & Pull - Method
Wrap and Pull INTO the direction offering more points of contact. OR main direction of resistance.
Corner of wall, corner of barricade port, side of building, tree, whatever… wrap and pull!
🔴.
Tank Trap Method
Wrap the Apoc Sling around the edge of a tank trap creating an “X” (see photos) to create a secure bind/hold that you can lean your whole body weight into to reduce recoil for follow on shots.
⚫️.
Wrap & Pull - Method
When we say “Load your Bi-Pods” we simply mean, put forward pressure against the 550 chord where the barricade meets the rail and the 550 chord, so there is no slack and it’s pinched tight in a 90° to your rail creating a corner stoping point.
